Excellent service
The company were incompetent and drained my system via a price of garden hose from the top of my boiled. They leaked water into the boiler causing various parts to break including the pcb board they also broke a valve by the tank. Axa emergency left myself and my children one of which is disabled and classed as vulnerable without hot water and heating for over 5 weeks leaving us to live/keep warm in one room. The employees including the mangers made numerous threats and accusations and I am in the middle of my written complaint after which I intend to go to the ombudsman. The claim for the water damage was just as bad dealing with rude incompetent staff having to argue and fight for every item which has been damaged/claimed for.

My boiler was cutting off and pressure was dropping so I called the home emergency insurance provided by Halifax bank who I have been paying for the past 7 years. An engineer came out and said the boiler needs a new expansion vessel and a pressure relief valve and the boiler needs to come off the wall. He left saying the insurance company AXA will contact me. 1 day later no call, so I called them AXA asked for my service document which I emailed right away.

Three months on they are saying as i didn't complain sooner, it's now out of warranty and my problem. AA use AXA assistance for home emergency cover. Tried to refuse drains claim as I have more than 1 toilet. If you cancel your home insurance after 14 days from the start date you will need to pay a £30 cancellation fee on top of the time you’ve been covered by us. We’ll return payment for cover after the cancellation date (a pro-rata refund), minus the cancellation fee.
